Overview
What Rave Trading is, how a trade works end to end, and where to go next.
Rave Trading is a principal market maker (PMM) with a request-for-quote (RFQ) API for tokenized assets, focused first on tokenized stocks. You ask for a price on a token pair on one chain, and Rave answers with a quote. A firm quote comes with a signed transaction that your user's wallet submits on chain.
How a trade works
| Step | You call | You get |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Discover | GET /v2/markets/levels | The pairs that are quotable right now, with token addresses, decimals and depth |
| 2. Check limits | GET /v2/limits | Per-side status, min and max size, and the address to approve (allowance_target) |
| 3. Preview | POST /v2/quotes/soft | An indicative price. Not executable |
| 4. Approve | token_in.approve(allowance_target, amount) on chain | The router can pull the input token |
| 5. Quote | POST /v2/quotes/firm | A signed transaction packet: to, data, value, chain_id |
| 6. Submit | The user's wallet sends the packet unchanged | Output tokens settle to recipient |
| 7. Track | GET /v2/transactions/{id_or_tx_hash} | The settled trade record |

Chains
Rave publishes pairs on BNB Smart Chain (56), Ethereum (1), Base (8453), Robinhood Chain (4663) and Pharos (1672). The chain set changes as markets go live, so read it from /v2/markets/levels instead of hard-coding it. Which symbol quotes on which chain, and on which side, is also live data.
